The spirit of gratitude and new beginnings filled the atmosphere at The Aga Khan Hostel, Botad, as students gathered for a transformative session on 22nd March 2026.

A day prior, on 21st March 2026, the hostel witnessed joyful celebrations as students came together to observe Eid and Navroz. Eid, which symbolizes the value of gratitude and thankfulness, inspired students to appreciate life’s blessings, while Navroz, marking a new year, brought with it the message of renewal, hope, and fresh beginnings. These celebrations created a meaningful foundation, making the gratitude session even more relevant and impactful.

The session began with a warm and thoughtful address by Academic Director Amin Ladhani, who beautifully connected the essence of Eid and Navroz with the importance of practicing gratitude in daily life. He emphasized that true progress begins when we acknowledge and value what we already have—and that there could be no better way to embrace the message of Navroz, which signifies new beginnings, than by starting this journey with an expression of gratitude.

Spreading the Power of Gratitude
The session was conducted by Infinite Shietaal, founder of Shietaal Infinite Life Coach. During the session, she explained and demonstrated simple yet effective practices of gratitude that students can incorporate into their daily lives. Drawing from her experience as a Cosmic Coach, NLP Practitioner, Access Bars Therapist, Tarot Reader, and Spiritual Healer, she has guided over 100 individuals on their personal growth journeys.
The session was extremely motivational in nature and focused on encouraging students to develop a positive and grateful mindset. Her message resonated deeply—that when we begin to live with gratitude, it can positively influence our mindset, health, relationships, and overall outlook on life.
During the session, she also explained how such a mindset plays a significant role in a student’s journey—helping them stay focused, reduce stress during exams, and approach their studies with greater clarity and confidence. She highlighted that by fostering positivity and awareness, the practice of gratitude can contribute to improved academic performance, better emotional balance, and the overall growth and development of students.

From Awareness to Daily Practice
Understanding the importance of consistency, the faculty requested that each student be provided with a notebook dedicated to gratitude. Immediately after the session, every student received a Gratitude Diary, encouraging them to begin a daily practice of writing what they are thankful for.
This simple yet powerful initiative ensures that the impact of the session continues far beyond the classroom.
An Inspiring and Transformational Experience
The session proved to be deeply inspiring, helping students shift their perspective from focusing on what they lack to appreciating what they already have. Through reflective discussions and engaging activities, students began to see their lives from a lens of abundance rather than limitation.

A powerful visualization exercise invited students to close their eyes and imagine a beautiful future—one where they value their present resources and opportunities. This created a strong emotional connection and instilled a sense of clarity, motivation, and hope.
Stories That Left a Lasting Impact
To deepen the learning experience, students were shown inspiring stories of A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Nick Vujicic. These stories highlighted how gratitude, resilience, and a positive mindset can empower individuals to overcome challenges and achieve greatness.
The message was clear and powerful: it is not what we lack, but how we value and use what we have that shapes our future.
A Moment of Honor and Appreciation
The session concluded on a heartfelt note. In recognition of her inspiring contribution, Infinite Shietaal was honored with a token of appreciation by the hostel—a momento cup and a hostel calendar—expressing gratitude for her efforts in guiding and inspiring the students.

The Aga Khan Hostel, Botad, is truly grateful to Infinite Shietal for her generosity of time and for sharing her knowledge with the students. Her guidance and inspiration have made a lasting impact on everyone present.
We are also deeply thankful to Dr. Dilip Darediya for his kind recommendation of our speaker. It is through his thoughtful guidance that we were able to host such an inspiring and meaningful session for our students. Their support and contributions have been invaluable in making this event a success.

Conclusion
This session was more than just a workshop—it was a meaningful continuation of the values celebrated during Eid and Navroz. It marked the beginning of a journey where students choose gratitude as a daily practice.
By planting the seeds of gratitude in young minds, this initiative has paved the way for a brighter and more mindful future—one rooted in appreciation, positivity, and growth.
Because when gratitude becomes a way of life, transformation becomes inevitable.
