CELEBRATING THE FIRST SALGIRAH MUBARAK OF PRINCE RAHIM HAZAR IMAM

The Aga Khan Hostel, Botad, resonated with vibrant energy, heartfelt devotion, and a deep sense of gratitude during the three-day Salgirah Mubarak celebrations— marking the first Salgirah of Prince Rahim Hazar Imam following his historic Takht Nashini. This momentous occasion held not only ceremonial significance but also provided a meaningful spiritual and emotional space for our students to reflect on continuity, legacy, and the enduring blessings of leadership in the Imamat.

Over the course of three days, 10th to 12th October 2025, the students residing at the hostel played a leading role in the celebrations, engaging with full-hearted enthusiasm and creativity. They took part in every aspect of the program—expressing their joy not only through active participation in events, but also through beautifully crafted artwork and decorations that adorned the hostel’s prayer hall. Their efforts were a touching expression of love and reverence, turning the space into a sanctuary of devotion and festivity.

The culmination of the celebrations on Salgirah day was a particularly moving moment. In an expression of unity and spiritual joy, City Jamati members gathered at the hostel and began their journey toward the Jamat Khana while playing Daniya and dancing Garba—traditional forms of celebration that connect the community through rhythm, movement, and shared purpose. This walk to Jamat Khana was not just a physical procession—it was a spiritual journey, a symbolic act of moving together toward light, knowledge, and divine guidance.

There was an air of collective jubilation as generations came together to celebrate not just a birthday, but a living link to a legacy of ethical leadership and service to humanity. The day was a reminder of the intergenerational strength of the Jamat, where elders lead with wisdom, and the youth respond with spirit and creativity.

This Salgirah Mubarak was not merely a celebration of time passed—it was a celebration of hope for the future, of aspirations grounded in faith, and of the ongoing spiritual and intellectual journey of the Jamat, under the leadership of Prince Rahim Hazar Imam. It marked the beginning of a new chapter, filled with promise, unity, and continued devotion.
