EXPLORE THE UNEXPLORED: A CAREER AWARENESS PROGRAM THAT INSPIRED YOUNG MINDS AT THE AGA KHAN HOSTEL, BOTAD

In today’s fast-evolving world, where industries are rapidly transforming and new professions are constantly emerging, it is more important than ever for students to be equipped with early career awareness and guidance. Recognizing this critical need, The Aga Khan Education Board, India, in collaboration with Aga Khan Hostel, Botad, organized a special two-day program titled “Explore the Unexplored” on 28th and 29th June 2025 for students of Grades 7 to 9.

The program aimed to help students understand the wide range of career opportunities available across different fields—many of which are still unfamiliar or overlooked. Through engaging and creative activities such as role play, research tasks, art & craft sessions, and experiential learning methods, students were introduced to more than 30 exciting career paths in technology, healthcare, science, business, and other industries.

At the heart of this initiative was Mr. Shahezad Gadhiya, an esteemed alumnus of Aga Khan Hostel, Botad and a current Regional YSB member, who facilitated the sessions with great enthusiasm, clarity, and passion. Professionally serving as an independent consultant with The Aga Khan Education Board, India, Mr. Gadhiya brought both deep insight and personal connection to the sessions, inspiring students to think beyond conventional choices and explore their own potential.

The Aga Khan Hostel, Botad – Nurturing Futures with Vision and Commitment This impactful program would not have been possible without the dedicated efforts of Aga Khan Hostel, Botad, which continues to prioritize holistic development and future readiness for its students. The hostel played a pivotal role in bringing this enriching opportunity to its students, reflecting its mission to expose young learners to the best learning experiences beyond the classroom.

Special thanks and heartfelt gratitude are extended to President Saheb, whose support and leadership were instrumental in the smooth execution of this program. His active involvement ensured that students received maximum benefit from the initiative.
