In its continued pursuit of academic excellence and future-focused education, The Aga Khan Hostel, Botad organised a Special Artificial Intelligence (AI) Learning Session on Sunday, 8th February 2026. This session formed part of the hostel’s sustained efforts to integrate emerging technologies into students’ learning journeys and prepare them for a rapidly evolving digital world. A total of 30 students attended this program.

A Continuing Commitment to AI Learning

At The Aga Khan Hostel, Botad exposure to Artificial Intelligence is not a new initiative. Over time, students have been introduced to AI concepts and tools through regular computer classes and guided digital learning sessions. Many students have already been using AI platforms to support their studies—whether in drafting assignments, understanding complex concepts, improving language skills, or enhancing presentations

The 8th February 2026 session was a special live expert-led interaction conducted by faculty from Mumbai, aimed at further enriching and strengthening the students’ existing understanding of AI. It was thoughtfully designed to deepen conceptual clarity, refine practical usage, and introduce structured frameworks that enable students to use AI more effectively, responsibly, and intelligently.

This reflects the hostel’s proactive approach: not merely allowing access to technology, but ensuring students are trained to use it thoughtfully and purposefully.

Expert-Led Session in Collaboration with the National Council

The special session was conducted in collaboration with the National Council and was led by Ms. Lubna Kheraj, an accomplished professional from Mumbai.

Students learned:

  • The importance of clear and structured prompts

  • RISEN (Role, Input, Steps, Example, Narrow)

  • Pareto Principle (80:20 Rule) for efficient output.

4. Ethics and Responsible Use

The session strongly highlighted ethical considerations. Students were reminded that AI is a support tool—not a replacement for effort, integrity, or critical thinking. Responsible and accountable use was stressed as a core value.
