STRENGTHENING ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

Building on insights from the student English language assessment aligned with AKESI guidelines, the Aga Khan Hostel, Botad has enriched its English programme. These enhancements strengthen and expand the academic support framework, ensuring students continue to benefit from a dynamic and evolving learning environment.

From 1 December 2025, an additional structured English learning component was introduced through a carefully selected Udemy course, complementing the existing English classes. This initiative reflects the hostel’s commitment to responsive academic planning and its ongoing efforts to reinforce students’ language proficiency and overall learning progress.

To ensure meaningful learning and consistent academic support, the programme is conducted under the active guidance of Academic Director Mr. AmIn Ladhani. He personally leads the sessions, addresses students’ queries, and provides valuable insights to guide them in the right direction. The programme runs four days a week, encouraging students to participate actively. During these sessions, students have ample opportunities to ask questions and receive the necessary academic guidance. In this way, each session remains purposeful, engaging, and tailored to students’ learning needs, thereby strengthening the quality of learning throughout the programme.

While the assessment involved 23 students, participation in the programme has been extended to all hostel students, subject to their academic commitments. This inclusive approach enables all students to benefit from reinforced learning and a supportive academic environment.
