STRENGTHENING INSTITUTIONAL TIES : AGA KHAN HOSTEL (BOTAD) VISITS FIDAI BAUG HOSTEL

On August 24th, 2025, Mr. Amin Ladhani - Academic Director of The Aga Khan Hostel, Botad, visited Fidai Baug Hostel, Mumbai The visit to Fidai Baug Hostel was undertaken with the purpose of building institutional connections, exploring shared educational values, and identifying areas of mutual collaboration between Aga Khan Hostel (Botad) and the Fidai Institution.
Historical Significance of Fidai Baug Hostel:
Fidai Baug Hostel holds deep historical and educational significance. Established in 1918, the institution was founded with the aim of serving children from underprivileged backgrounds, providing both quality education and residential support. The hostel and its campus are named "Fidai Baug" by our 48th Imam, Sir Sultan Muhammad Shah, a title that translates to "Fidai Garden". The institution once operated two residential units: Andheri Unit: Focused on education and residence for girls. Panchgani Unit: Previously served boys, which was unfortunately closed post the COVID-19 pandemic. Today, Fidai Academic continues to deliver holistic education to children with a mission rooted in restoring and sustaining human dignity. Over the past century, it has empowered more than 6000 students, many of whom have gone on to achieve personal and professional success globally.

Key Outcomes of the Meeting:
The meeting created a platform for: Exchange of educational philosophies and operational practices. Understanding institutional challenges and strengths. Exploring potential areas for future collaboration, particularly in residential care and academic enrichment. Aligning visions in creating environments that support the academic, emotional, and ethical development of students.
